It was truly the first time I didn’t think about my phone, social media, work piles... I thought about nothing except for my body, and keeping it off of the floor. The yoga was integral because it helped shift my focus inward physically and mentally.

Learning to skateboard gave me a much needed dose of self-confidence and taught me to stop doubting my own potential.

This was an inclusive, positive, empowered, safe space to learn without judgement or competition.

I have described this event to my friends as a game changer for tackling the things I want in life.

I was most surprised by the support and kindness of people I had never met before.

A unique and powerful experience that every one needs to try.

I was terrified which is why I signed up for the event in the first place, but once I got on the skateboard, the challenge gave me a rush and it felt so freeing.

If you have any interest at all in learning to skate, this is a great environment to do it in.

I’m super non-athletic, so I expected that I’d be pretty terrible and fall down a bunch. I actually caught on pretty quickly!

There is something to be said for a bunch of adult women putting away their fears of getting hurt or looking foolish and just getting out there and trying something new.

If there is any part of you that thinks “Hey I could totally skateboard,” - you’ll have a good time I promise.

Consider my fears shredded! I mean, I came back a second time...

I was surprised that it didn't take me all day to get up and rolling on a board.

A little guidance makes all the difference.

Before attending, I was a little nervous. I didn't want to make a fool of myself or get hurt. I was surprised to see my fears were instantly squashed.

Everyone was so kind, helpful and really interested in helping you get the basics down. So much encouragement and high fives!

After the event, I felt really excited and like I keep wanting to come back to it.

Yoga + skateboarding + community. You should be there.

I didn't expect to be joining such an awesome community in such a short amount of time.
