Our Values

RESPECT: Our events are centered around respect. Respect for ourselves and our bodies, respect for the skaters who have come before us, and respect for the other initiatives and events that strive to increase inclusivity in the skateboarding community.

INCLUSIVITY: We offer 5 “pay-what-you-can” tickets for each event so that price is not a barrier to attendance. We partner with organizations that service different populations to increase diversity at our events.

History: SYF For Good

In August 2019 Shred Your Fears started actively partnering with mission-based organizations and social-justice advocates. We also began donating a portion of the proceeds from each event to a different charitable organization whose mission is in alignment with our speakers and partners.

Organizations we’ve supported:

Footbridge for Families
Worth Manifesto
Change Agency / All For All
Annunciation House
The Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh
The Yellowhammer Fund
